8 Weeks In

We have officially been in Uganda for 8 weeks! Time is seeming to fly by. We can't believe it's already September! It does feel strange not being at home right now. September is usually the time when kids go back to school, leaves start to change colour, the air starts to get colder....but not here. Here, the rainy season picks up but the weather is still warm, especially when the sun is shining. Kids begin their third term of the year - and other than that, it feels the same as when we arrived in July! So, although we know fall is coming at home, it's hard to imagine because we know it won't be coming here!

We figured out that for some reason the internet works much better on the PC than the Mac, so now's my chance to upload photos and catch up on lost time! Enjoy!

Enjoying a morning shower from our front porch!

The BEST place to buy fruit & veggies

Paul, washing the car with an eager helper

Illegal - but who cares?!

"Mc foods" - and what you can't see on the sign is that it's Turkish food. The Turkish man didn't look too happy that we were taking a picture.

The man in the orange is carrying our giant roll of curtain fabric. Arleen is trying to keep up.

That would be a Kampala traffic light. Complete with plastic water bottles and an old tire.

The graveyard across the street from our house. Isn't it lovely?

Our front gate in the rain!
