Paul and I have had 4 amazing and very different Christmases since we got married! Year 1: a huge snow storm. Year 2: Uganda. Year 3: Egypt. Year 4: Cassie!
Now that we have a baby we've become "those parents" that only take pictures of their children and nothing else. Can you blame us though? She's so darn cute! Here is a glimpse of our first Christmas home from Uganda - centered around le bebe, of course.

Since Christmas Eve and Christmas day are always busy with family get togethers, we decided to start doing our own little family Christmas on Christmas Eve Eve this year. We had a yummy Italian dinner, gave Cassie a bath, and then drank hot chocolate and had some Christmas goodies while we watched Love Actually.

Cassie liked our new tradition :)
On Christmas Eve we spent the evening with Paul's family. Twenty-one kids in the family makes for a huge crowd! The evening included turkey dinner, carols, gifts for the kids, games, desserts, and lots of noise.

The cousins - and there are 4 missing! (Spot Cassie - hint: she's the one screaming her head off.)

Cassie with her cousin, Jordan - they are only 3 weeks apart!

Later on that evening when we could barely keep our eyes open anymore (because now we are boring tired parents, I guess) we headed to my parents' house where we spent the night and then had a leisurely Christmas day with my family.

The day consisted of coffee, cinnamon buns, stockings, presents, games, turkey and treats! (So excited about my new ESV study Bible, a teapot, some cookbooks, and lots of other little goodies!) But really the best part about being home this year was spending time with our families - and it was so much more special now that we have started a family of our own!

So much excitement tuckered her right out!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
