The Rest of the Week

We really enjoyed having Daryl and Tamara here visiting over the past week. Here are a few highlights from the rest of our time with them (most of the photos taken by Daryl)!

Daryl and Paul working in the hot sun and getting dirty! (Meanwhile Tamara and I enjoyed being inside the cool house).

We spent a couple days in Kibaale, where we were able to spend some time with the school kids. Having kids around is something we miss out on living at the Timothy Centre! Above, the primary kids are lining up outside for morning assembly, where they sing and pray before school starts.

They love having their picture taken!

Daryl and Paul joined the P1's on an outreach trip. They visited a family's home in the community and and helped out by beating beans, praying, singing, cleaning, and handing out gifts. Seeing these kids make a difference in their community is a good reminder that we are ALL called to serve, no matter how much we have or don't have!

On Friday afternoon there was a much anticipated "football match" between Timothy Centre and Kibaale. The Timothy Centre workers piled into the tipper truck (60 of them!) and met us in Kibaale. Paul played for TC and Jeff played for Kibaale.

Jamie and I cheered for separate teams from the sidelines! Kibaale ended up winning 2-1. It was fun to see the workers so excited to play, and it gave everyone a chance to hang out and have fun together outside of work.

On Saturday morning we drove Daryl and Tamara back to Entebbe so they could catch their flight home in the evening. Their visit was so encouraging - we loved having them here! It was a GOOD WEEK.
