This weekend we had a great time hanging out with our PAOS co-workers - Jeff and Shannon, Sean and Jamie, Lizabee, and Rachel - in Jinja! The only ones missing were Karl and Arleen, who return to Uganda this coming Tuesday night after their 3-month furlough in Canada. Our getaway included delicious hamburgers (at a gas station - very classy), relaxing by the hotel pool, taking a boat ride on Lake Victoria, visiting a waterfall, and having lattes at a great coffee shop in the morning. Jinja is located right at the source of the Nile about an hour and a half outside of Kampala. Not far from home, and such a great getaway!
