Babies

This afternoon Paul and I took a quick trip to Kyabakuza to drop off some donations at a babies' home that our Danish friends run. Currently there are only two babies there - Gideon and Timothy. Sadly, a third little boy passed away just before Christmas during surgery. But Gideon and Timothy are doing well, and the home is hoping for more babies in the near future.

When we arrived the boys were sleeping, but Gideon woke up so we hung out with him for awhile. Can we say cute?!

It was shocking to hear that when Gideon arrived at the babies' home a year ago, he was skinny, malnourished and dehydrated. He has definitely come a long way - we watched him scarf down a full bowl of posho and beans - he was loving it!

It's so good to see what other organizations in our area are doing to make a difference. These boys are not only alive, but healthy and loved! I'm sure I'll be back to get another look at those adorable little faces.
