This is Max and Joey, my new buddies. They are Karl and Arleen's dogs, and they'll be moving out to the Timothy Centre with us for security. As friendly and cute as they look here, they sure know the difference between us and strangers. (Poor little kid next door was peeking in the gate one day and got a big fright when the dogs charged at him!) Ugandans are terrified of dogs. When people come to visit we have to lock the dogs in the back or else the visitors refuse to come through the gate. But they also act as cute little companions for a girl who is at home all day while her friends are in South Africa and her husband is at work. (Me.) How can I resist those adorable faces?!
