In an attempt to get more involved with our church, Lizabee and I agreed to take over teaching a Sunday school class, ages 16-18. Today was our first lesson. The class was fairly small, and took place outside the main church building under a tin roof with a dirt floor. The teens were quite shy and quiet, but we were able to get them on their feet singing and clapping by the end of our 45 minutes. They seem eager to learn (they all had their Bibles and notebooks out and ready to go), so over the next few weeks we hope to touch on some topics that will be relevant and encouraging to them...and also build some new friendships.
