Mihingo Lodge

It seems like my last few posts have had the common theme of "relaxation." We DO work...I promise! It's what we're here for. My next post will be about work. But for now, let me tell you about our night at Mihingo Lodge. It was on our list of "we must go there one time before we leave Uganda" places, and since our time here is quickly running short we decided to just go! We're so glad we did. Everything was perfect down to the last detail, and I came home with lots of ideas for things we can do at the Timothy Centre guesthouse to add those detailed touches. And for this pregnant girl who hasn't had much luck with appealing food at our house recently, the food was amazing! The lodge is located at Lake Mburo, a small game park not too far from Masaka. While we did see lots of animals on our drive to and from the lodge, we wasted no time with game drives or safari walks - this night was 100% about enjoying the lodge!

Our suite!

Yes, we took pictures of the bathroom. We loved it that much.

The monkey that broke into our room and ate our cookies. It even got in after we had zap-strapped the zipper shut!

Watching zebra, warthogs and eland from the viewing hideout.

Pre-breakfast - served on our private porch! Can't get much better than that.
